Meet the Broad Creek Team
Damian Ambrozewicz, Program Director
Damian is a 7-year veteran of Broad Creek's camp staff. He first started in Camp Oest as a CIT, and has since worked a variety of positions in Scoutcraft, Aquatics, and Administration. In addition, Damian is a Leave No Trace Trainer and has been an instructor at the National Camping School. Damian currently attends Frostburg State University for Recreation and Parks Management, and plans on becoming a professional Scouter after graduation.
Dave Miles, Camp Commissioner
Dave Miles has been involved in Scouting for over 40 years. Dave is retired and volunteers at camp throughout the year. He has been working on camp staff since 2017 and has held multiple positions from Driver to Shotgun Merit Badge instructor. He started out as a Webelos Den Leader and worked his way up to be a Scout Master for 10 years. He has been a Committee Chair, and a Chapter advisor for the Order of the Arrow. Dave is a Vigil Honor in the Order and is a Founders Award recipient.

Tom Wagner, Camp Ranger
Tom has been a Ranger at Broad Creek for more than 10 years and is a former BC Camp Director. Previously, he worked as a Facilities Manager for St. Michael the Archangel School for 7+ years. He was the Cubmaster for Pack 989 for 9 years and is a member of Woodbadge class 220-2. Tom is a Vigil Honor in the Order of the Arrow. He is the proud father of two Eagle Scouts from Troop 124.
Travis Bristow, Camp Ranger
Travis worked 7+ years as staff at Treasure Island Scout Reservation, 3 years at Camp Tri-mount, 1 year at Irvine Outdoor Education Center, and 3 years as a staff member at Broad Creek. Travis is in his third year as a Ranger for BC. He has previously held Director positions for Handicraft, Waterfront, COPE, and Aquatics.
Chris Wetzel, Outdoor Programs Program Assistant
Ryan Jackson, Council Camping Director
Ryan grew up attending Broad Creek as a member of Troop 371 in Frederick, Maryland, before joining the Camp Spencer staff in 2011 and 2012. Before rejoining the Broad Creek Family in June, 2021, Ryan on the inaugural Summit Bechtel Reserve staff in 2014, serving there several summers as a Base Camp Manager until 2021, where he joined the Philmont Scout Ranch winter staff as the Winter Base Camp Manager. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in music education from West Virginia University, with a minor in world music studies.
